Tropical Valley Foods was founded in 2001 by Eric Bertheau, an expatriate from The Netherlands. At first, we started with a small production unit in Haiti, producing only organic dried mango. Dried bananas followed and gradually we grew to produce a variety of tropical organic dried fruits. The days were hot and humid, the Haitians amazing and the work was intense but a lot of fun !

Then came the move, away from the island. Today, Tropical Valley Foods is located in Plattsburgh, Upstate NY. We now no longer produce in the Caribbean and the organic dried tropical fruits are imported from South-American countries. We strive to standardize protocols among all these facilities to create uniform quality, organic certification, HACCP standards, and an ethics code aimed at maintaining equitable relationships with the growers and planters from whom the fresh fruits are purchased. 

After over 23 years in business, Tropical Valley Foods and its brands are widely known for excellent quality and reliable service. We only source products of outstanding quality from processors with whom we work in close collaboration. Customer Satisfaction is a must and we will go many extra miles to guarantee it. For the coming years, we will strive to continue to play an ever-increasing role as a provider of "the best there is" in organics. 

Our Products

Tropical Valley Foods is a producer of organic and natural food products that are mostly distributed under our brands Next Organics and Next by Nature. However, we also supply independent health food stores with fruits and chocolates in Bulk.
Our products fall into the following two categories :

• Dark Chocolate Fruits & Nuts
• Organic and Natural Dried Fruits
  

Since not all products can be obtained with an organic certificate, we sometimes need to supplement our line with products that are "Natural”. This means that all ingredients are as close to Nature as possible. We don't accept preservatives, pesticides, chemicals, antibiotics or anything else that may be harmful. Likewise, we only source ingredients that are non-GMO.
